Itinerary example
Below is an example of an 11-day personalized itinerary covering most of Cambodia.
On the agenda: cultural and historical visits to Siem Reap, an immersion with the locals in Banteay Chhmar, a break in Battambang, a detour to Phnom Penh and finally a few days in southern Cambodia.
Day 1: Arrival in Phnom Phenh
- Arrival in the morning by plane.
- Reception at the airport and transfer by private car to your hotel, check-in and installation
- Free lunch (suggestion…)
- After lunch, discovery in tuk-tuk of the Phnom Penh of the Protectorate accompanied by a French guide
- At the end of the day, board a boat and enjoy a dinner cruise at sunset on the Mekong River, with a breathtaking view of the city
Day 2: Phnom Penh to Siem Reap
- Breakfast and early morning departure by private car to Siem Reap, in the west of the country. Purchase of your Angkor tickets before your arrival at the hotel
- Free lunch (suggestion…)
- Free time to rest a little and enjoy your pool, possibility to book massages
- In the middle of the afternoon, departure by tuk-tuk for a trip in a small boat in the lotus fields at sunset
- Return to Siem Reap and free dinner (suggestion…)
Day 3: The city of Angkor in tuk-tuk
- Departure very early in the morning in tuk tuk tuk with a French-speaking guide to admire the sunrise on the Angkor Wat site.
- Breakfast and visit of the latter
This will be followed by Angkor Thom’s visit with the Bayon, the Elephant and Leper King’s Terrace, and the Baphuon - Lunch in a traditional private house in Sras Srang (organic cuisine). You can enjoy a moment of relaxation before leaving, far from the crowd
- On the way back, discovery of the demining centre by rats
- Return to your hotel in the middle of the afternoon and free time
- At the end of the day, departure in tuk tuk tuk for a dinner and show of Khmer traditional dances and arts
Day 4: Immersion in Banteay Chhmar
- After breakfast, departure by private car with driver for the
Banteay Mancheay region, in the northwest of Cambodia and the small village of Banteay Chhmar. Arrival and installation at your hosts’ house - Lunch included shared with the community centre
- In the afternoon, walking tour of the Banteay Chhmar Temple and Ta Prohm with an English-speaking guide. Then a ride in an ox cart through the village to the silk weaving workshops
- Dinner included in the temple, with traditional music
Day 5: Banteay Chhmar to Siem Reap
- Breakfast and guided tour of the Banteay Chhmar market, followed by a stroll in “koyon”, the village’s local tractor, to the Banteay Torp temple
- Lunch included at the foot of the temple
- After your lunch, departure with your driver to Siem Reap, and arrival at your hotel at the end of the day.

Day 6: Phnom Kulen & the remote temples of Angkor
- Breakfast and early departure by private car and with a French-speaking guide to the nature reserve in Phnom Kulen. Possibility to swim in the waterfall of the park
- In the late morning, visit Banteay Srei, the Women’s Citadel, located about twenty kilometres from Siem Reap
- Lunch included in a quiet and enchanting place not far from Banteay Srei
- Visit of the famous Ta Prohm and Ta Nei before your return to Siem Reap
- Return to your hotel and free time
- At the end of the day, departure by tuk tuk tuk to attend a Cirque Phare show
- Dinner at leisure (suggestion…)
Day 7: Siem Reap to Battambang
- Breakfast and early departure by private car and accompanied by a French-speaking guide to a floating village. Visit by boat of the latter to discover the particular way of life of its inhabitants
- Lunch included on site
- Departure after lunch by car to Battambang town, west of Siem Reap
- Arrival at the hotel, check-in and installation, then walk to Phnom Sampov at sunset to watch the bats fly away
- Dinner at leisure (suggestion…)
Day 8: Battambang to Kep
- After your breakfast, departure for a morning of visit with a French-speaking guide to discover Battambang (temples, craftsmen, countryside)
- Local lunch included
- After lunch, departure by car or plane to the city of Kep, in the south of the country
- Arrival at your hotel at the end of the day, check-in and installation
- Dinner at leisure (suggestion…)
Day 9: Visit to Kep and Kampot
- After breakfast, walk to the crab market and then leave by tuk-tuk to the charming city of Kampot. Visit on the way to the salt marshes
- Lunch included in a pepper plantation
- After lunch, visit in French, taste the local peppers and spices, ride in a buffalo cart in the Secret Lake, then return to Kep for a walk by the sea
- Dinner at leisure (suggestion…)
Day 10: From Kep to Phnom Penh
- After breakfast, check-out and departure by private car to Phnom Penh
- Free lunch on arrival (suggestion…)
- After lunch, departure in tuk tuk tuk for a discovery of the city and its colonial buildings equipped with a tactile tablet
- Dinner at leisure (suggestion…)
Day 11: Visit of Phnom Penh and departure
- After breakfast, departure in tuk tuk tuk with a French guide to discover the different local markets of the capital
- Lunch included on the market
- After lunch, visit the Royal Palace or the sad but unavoidable genocide museum S-21
- After that, departure by private car to Phnom Penh airport for your return flight
